The LLABC After school Kids were visited by the Pennsbury High School Spanish Club today.The ladies gave posters of inspirational quotes in Spanish for us and helped the children create their own. A fun day, gracias!

Super Saturday at the Latino Alliance-We were blessed in having a group of volunteers from Redemption Church, folks I never met before today, came out and help fix up our place.They gave up their Saturday and worked hard cleaning, weeding, painting, fixing, powerwashing and hanging fixtures and replacing lights in the office. I am grateful for all their work and for their kindness.

Members of Latino Alliance attended the 2011 Go Red For Women – Latina Community Luncheon
held on Friday, June 10th at the restaurant,Tierra Colombiana in Philadelphia.
Our own Myrta Sanchez, LLABC member and mother of our casemanager, Jeannie Vazquez spoke to a crowd of 175 women about her struggle with heart disease.
Illia Garcia from Univision and Dr Maribel Hernandez spoke about the "Go Red for Women" campaign and the importance of knowing the warning signs and most of all PREVENTION!
